As part of the Worley Graduate Community and under supervision, you'll perform a variety of assignments through the application of basic engineering theories, techniques, and practices while gaining exposure to procedures and processes.
On your typical work day you will:
- Assist business development activities by maintaining an up-to-date personal profile and resume.
- Build positive working relationships with external parties such as customers, suppliers, and contractors.
- Support the delivery of training, assist in the employee performance review process, and encourage compliance with requirements and processes.
- Support adherence to engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Know the discipline scope/cost/time requirements and assist the team to meet expectations.
- Gather data from multiple sources and prepare engineering deliverables.
- Incorporate information from multiple sources into equipment/material specifications and support bid evaluations.
- Work with site personnel to resolve issues and may provide on-site support for construction, commissioning, or turnover.
Qualifications:
- Will be actively registered with a local engineering governing body where required by law.
- Ability to report in English, both verbal & in writing.
- Less than 3 years of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of control process strategies and industry standard practices.
- Desirable: training in leadership, project execution, risk management, or quality.
- Desirable: relevant discipline experience or working in a related industry.
Technical Knowledge:
- Proficient in specialty engineering or design tools, analytics, and modelling.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Competent in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint.
Soft Skills:
- Communicate basic information with peers, stakeholders, and management.
- Build constructive and effective business relationships throughout the organization.
- Enjoy working in a small high-calibre team with visibility to senior stakeholders.
- Achieve results set by self and others, meets timelines, and demonstrates enthusiasm.
- Examine problems carefully and understand their interdependencies.
