Job Summary:To assist our Controller in preparing all financial activities related to Martinrea Ridgetown Division, including financial statement analysis, month-end activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Education and Experience:Undergraduate Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. Holder of CPA designation or in the process of working towards a recognized Accounting Designation is preferable. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a decentralized manufacturing environment with Manufacturing Ops Accounting/Finance; automotive experience is preferable. Display leadership within a financially driven organization. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills with the ability to multi-task. Advanced knowledge of Excel, with working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Bill 198 internal control preferred (SOX knowledge required). Demonstrate focus and drive to achieve targets, budgets, and results through the development and maintenance of operational and financial KPI's/Dashboards. Desire to understand the business, providing accurate and timely information to the Controller, and taking the initiative to identify and implement cost-saving projects (OPEX) that will assist in improving the overall profitability of the plant. Desire and ability to learn about the business and understand the production process by attending and participating in daily production meetings and regularly walking through the production floor to develop the necessary link between the production processes and the financial statements. Ability to identify potential risk areas and establish prudent financial stewardship and safeguarding of assets. Assist in the financial education, training, and development of departmental staff and managers to foster an environment based on teamwork and a culture of financial accountability. Clearly communicate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, including explanations of variances of actual compared to forecast/budget. #J-18808-Ljbffr
