Reporting to the Back Office/EDM team in Geneva and Short Term Power Director in Spain, the Settlement Data Analyst is responsible for the calculation, control, monitoring, and invoicing of the settlements corresponding to the operations executed in the Iberian Electricity Market, settlements and invoicing of the services provided to customers, and administrative management of GOOs.
Responsibilities include:
- Settlement of operations in the Iberian Markets (OMIE and REE).
- Calculation of settlements for renewable energy producers or suppliers (internal and external customers), with a focus on the conditions agreed in the services provided (pooling, extra-costs, pass-through, etc. ) as well as the economic calculation of imbalances and GOOs management.
- Ensure adequate and timely flow of data and information between the Madrid branch and Back Office team in Geneva.
- Management and validation of production and consumption measurements (SIMEL).
- Calculation and validation of OMIE settlements and re-settlements.
- Calculation and validation of REE settlements and re-settlements: C2 (m+1), C3 (m+3), C4 (m+8), and C5 (m+11).
- Control of operation guarantees in the market (OMIE and REE) and appropriate follow-up with the Credit department in Geneva.
- Management and validation of settlements issued to the represented producers by the CNMC.
- Presentation of documentation on behalf of the producers to the CNMC.
- Annual submission of documentation to the CNMC (justification, fuel consumption).
- Calculation of information for billing customers of the services provided.
- Processing of all invoices related to the electricity market and associated services (payment approval in Geneva).
- Customer support on settlement and invoicing activities.
- Pooling calculation and imbalance economic cost of the BRP (global, by technology, and isolated).
- Participation in the development of Back Office processes, propose improvements, and coordinate implementation with TGPG.
- Monitor legal regulations, changes in market rules, and REE operating procedures (settlements and measures) and other applicable regulations.
- Follow and comply with the list of established tasks with rigor, organization, and professionalism.
Contexto y medio ambiente
Difficulties: Economic risk, requiring high concentration at work and constant awareness of regulations.
Relations: Internal: Back Office & EDM Geneva, TotalEnergies Gas & Power Trading Spain and internal customers. External: OMIE, REE, CNMC & customers.
Academic Training and/or Years of Experience:
- Graduate or intermediate degree preferably in Business Administration or Engineering.
- 2-3 years of professional experience, preferably in back office activities related to the Iberian market.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Valuable French.
Technical and Behavioral Competencies:
Knowledge of settlements of the OMIE and REE markets.
