The main objective of the Cost Controller is the control and analysis of the company's costs, in order to detect and minimise the variation of costs with respect to what was initially planned. He/she will be in charge of the search for improvements and of providing solutions through the analyses carried out.
He/she will collaborate with the different departments to keep an exhaustive control of all the company's data and costs.
What responsibilities and objectives will you have?
- Analyse costs to ensure that they are allocated in the proper cost centre.
- Cooperate and give support to the Accounting Department in the monthly closing process to ensure that all costs accrued are recognized.
- Analyse Actual costs vs budget in order to explain potential deviations.
- Cooperate in the Budget process (Indirect and G&A costs).
- Providing management information and key operational cost data.
- Update information systems according to local and group requirements.
- Operational analysis of APM network utilisation, KPIs.
- Cooperate in the analysis of operational KPIs, explanation of deviations.
- Proposing and implementing new solutions in the field of operational cost analytics.
- Automation of standard reporting and analysis processes.
- Cooperate in the analysis of operational costs, construction decision models, operational statistics, budgeting, management accounting, operational control and financial analysis.
- Assist various departments in cost, performance and profitability analysis.
What will the requirements be?
- Minimum 2 to 3 years in a similar position.
- Higher education or bachelor's degree. Preferably studies in Business Administration and Economics/Accounting.
- Management accounting/controlling experience.
- Analytical thinking.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Experience in cost/revenue variance analysis.
- High level of English.
- Results-oriented.
- Autonomous in your work.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Quality-oriented.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with internal customers.
