We are in the early stages of development on an ambitious, unannounced, cross-platform Strategy / MMO featuring a well-known IP. You have the opportunity to join a highly experienced team to make a lasting impact on one of the next big releases. What You Will DoUse your deep understanding of combat systems combined with a strong analytical ability to create an engaging and high-performing user experience. As a senior member of the design team, you will take on the ownership of our combat systems, shaping features, mechanics and content direction for the game. You will come up with new, engaging ways to advance the game’s meta and excite our players, this includes:Take ownership of the design and balancing of dedicated combat systemsWork closely with our Creative Director to advance and grow the teamCollaborate with Lead Design and Product when designing new featuresAlign with our dev teams to ensure the accurate implementation of designsPlaytest the game, continuously pushing for improvements to existing designsDesign the combat meta within PvE and PvPMentor and grow younger Designers on the teamEstablish processes and tools with stakeholders from concept design through launchWhat We’re Looking ForA deep passion for games and for making games7+ years of experience as a Systems or Game DesignerOutstanding understanding of combat systems and synergistic mechanicsConsistent record of designing and balancing synergistic combat mechanicsTrack record of crafting immersive gameplay mechanics, systems, and experiences from the initial concept through the prototype phase, with an emphasis on optimizing fun, balance, and player engagementStrong understanding of content distributionIncredible energy and the ambition to create the next blockbuster mass-market gameOutstanding organizational agility - the ability to partner with a variety of specialists and personalities to work towards your goalsA positive, confident, open-minded, and inspirational attitudeHighly proactive and action focusedBonus PointsExcel VBA or scripting experience, experience in building simulationsUnderstanding of system-driven player-owned narrativeRelevant qualifications in Computing, Maths, Statistics, and/or EconomicsSolid understanding of event-driven live operations in mobile gamesExperience in mentoringAn avid player of F2P strategy games#J-18808-Ljbffr
