In Alternative Asset Management, Alantra offers its clients unique access to a wide range of investment strategies in five highly specialized asset management classes (private equity, active funds, private debt, energy, and venture capital). As of 31 December 2023, assets under management from consolidated businesses stood at €2. 2bn, while assets under management from Strategic Partnerships, in which Alantra holds a significant stake, were at more than €13. 4bn. Job Description:Based in Madrid but with full international exposure, you will work in a highly dynamic, inspiring, and challenging environment and become an integral part of our Energy Transition Advisory business. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team which is currently expanding led by the New Business CEO and work closely with Alantra’s top management, including the Executive Chairman & CEO. Part of the decarbonization process and energy transition efforts rely on an adequate decarbonization of final energy consumers. This comprises mainly industrial companies who have significant dependency on electricity and natural gas and thus need to undertake a conversion process driven by sustainable goals and competitiveness. The candidate shall coordinate Alantra’s effort to provide bespoke advisory services to corporates enabling their decarbonization process and facilitating a thorough diagnosis of target clients. The candidate shall coordinate and manage all stages of projects, from origination to execution, including pitching phase to closing; this comprises:Support and follow up of projects/deal origination with the Energy Transition Vertical. Assess the industrial needs from the assessment of the clients’ situation to the execution of advisory project and leading the team through the process. Monitor industry trends in order to provide frontline recommendations to strategic clients. Develop a road map for the low-carbon and climate-resilient development with respect to main sectors of interest. Identify opportunities framed within the circularity initiatives aimed at establishing business lines within companies from what as of today are considered by-products or residues. Establish partnerships with corporates to ensure ownership of the strategy. Identify tools and approaches to integrate decarbonization, climate change adaptation and mitigation measures in the planning and investment process, underpinned by institutional capacity development. High quality interaction with clients during information gathering, identifying and anticipating clients’ needs. Support in origination to proactively generate new business opportunities & ideas. Requirements:At least 8 years of industrial expertise, energy consulting or transaction services experience with strong focus on industry and circularity from tier 1 firms. The professional category will be determined based on candidates’ experience. Have a broad knowledge of the industrial sector, market dynamics, new technologies and investments in energy savings, decarbonization and circularity, is highly valued. Applicants must have a strong interest in energy transition and industrial decarbonization. Fully fluent in English (both spoken and written). Creativity, keen curiosity and look for intellectual challenges. Data-handling skills – the role involves managing large volumes of data for analysis; strong Excel skills aredesirable, experience in specialist tools appreciated (VBA, Access, Python, Power Bi, etc. ). Research techniques & skills – experience producing analysis for the industrial sector or comparable market is desirable. Strong academic background from top tier Universities or Engineering Schools. Commitment, rigorous detail-oriented attitude and ability to show initiative at work, with the ability to contribute with your own ideas. Ability to manage several assignments at once and work equally effectively as an individual and as part of a team. Capable of working under pressure and in a context of shifting priorities. Impeccable communication and presentation skills (verbal and written). Proficiency in the use of Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook. #J-18808-Ljbffr
