You would join our Discovery team in the Barcelona office with the option to work from our Madrid or Berlin offices as well. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Discovery team focuses on enabling carriers to keep their trucks busy at all times, allowing them to discover a wide range of interesting loads in the marketplace to transport. As part of our mission, we are dedicated to stopping the waste in carriers’ time by providing accurate ‘accept instantly’ prices and relevant load recommendations. To do this, we work closely with our excellent Machine Learning team who built the underlying ML models.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Participate in building new solutions in the team’s scope: creating UI functionality using the micro-frontend approach and occasionally updating/adding features in the microservices.
- Improve the level of test automation to maintain high quality of our products.
- Work with talented and experienced engineers within a mature, agile and friendly team.
- Collaborate with other teams in cross-team projects.
- Be an active member of the BE and FE developer communities and learn best practices in engineering and collaboration.
- Develop a high sense of ownership to drive from product to team-related topics.
PREFERABLY YOU HAVE
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on frontend development (70% frontend and 30% backend).
- Been working with Vue. Js and this is your "go to" framework of choice, but are curious enough to have tried others.
- Experience with Node. Js or Python and basic knowledge of REST APIs.
- Skills in TypeScript; knowing Python's typing system and mypy is a nice plus.
- Practical skills with AWS, Docker, and modern CI/CD.
- Some experience with PostgresQL.
- Knowledge of the software craftsmanship community and are eager to develop beautiful and maintainable code.
- Good communication skills in English.
