Job Description Summary
Our Asset Services Finance team is looking for a new member to join its team in Madrid. As Financial Controller Supervisor, your mission will be to supervise the financial team of one of our most important clients, ensuring that the financial processes of both Cushman & Wakefield and the client are complied with, in order to guarantee the reliability of the reporting delivered to the client.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Financial Officer. Main point of contact for the client on the financial aspects of the asset/portfolio.
- Coordinator of the financial team, responsible for its training and development.
- Responsible for coordination with the Property Management team.
- Responsible for client reporting: both financial and Asset Management.
- Guarantees that the information reported is correct, consistent and that the data reported is traceable.
- Final responsible for the internal control/audit of the data. Maintenance of the information in Yardi of all aspects related to the assets: Invoicing/revenues; accounting of expenses, supplier contracts, budgets, tenant contractual information. . .
- Ensure compliance with internal and customer financial procedures.
- Bond updates, rents, CPI (Consumer Price Index).
- Guarantee renewals.
- Debt claims - initial debt management prior to burofax.
- Debt documentation in coordination with lawyers.
- Contractual obligations of the management contract.
- Follow-up of invoicing and collection of fees.
- Coordination with accountants.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor degree (desirable: Business Management, Economics, Finance or similar).
- English Level - fluent in both written and spoken.
- 5 years of experience (minimum) in Finance – Real Estate sector in audit, controlling, administration or accounting functions.
- Knowledge of the Spanish general accounting plan and knowledge of international standards (IFRS, etc. ).
- Knowledge of the regulations applicable to urban leases is valuable.
- High level knowledge of the Office package, being an advanced user of Excel.
- Experience working with an ERP. Valuable knowledge of Yardi, SAP or other ERPs.
