Scope of the position
The conference and catering manager will be responsible for planning and supervising the conference and catering operations and services.

Tareas
- Fully aware of departmental yearly revenue goal, products, and services. Takes ownership and initiative to solicit business.
- Maximize group revenue by referring available goods, services, attractions, and sub-contractors to conference groups.
- Coordinates the handling of group and events requests, familiarization trips, site inspections and any other requests received by the department.
- Handles incoming inquiries and conducts initial qualifying process to ensure potential business.
- Assists Events team with the creation and completion of proposals.
- Good follow through; taking client events from contract to successful completion.
- Maintains good awareness of the events details and account profiles related to the designed Conference & Events Managers.
- Maintains good business relationship and rapport with clients.
- Proactively up-selling to customer needs.
- Keeps an up-to-date track of all activities/projects completed and ongoing in the department.
- Ensure the proper use of function space, exhibit hall and overall event space.
- Develops, implements and maintains departmental SOPs.
Requisitos
Mandatory
- Have ideally worked in a similar role within a five-star hotel environment with large groups for a minimum of three years.
- The ideal candidate will possess an excellent command of the Spanish & English languages.
Desirable
- Knowledge of other languages.
Successful candidates will have the ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings. An immaculate personal presentation with a professional and welcoming personality is required.
