Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Instructional Designer with a passion for creating compelling, modern training experiences for our Sales, Success, and Partner teams. The ideal candidate incorporates design thinking and development expertise, including innovative technology with best practices in adult learning theory. You can convert learning objectives into behavior-changing simulations, online courses, informational webinars, custom playbooks, exams, assessments, and interactive experiences to meet program objectives. You are comfortable managing multiple projects in a collaborative environment with a committed extended team. You will report to the Senior Manager of Learning Design and Experience. Our hybrid-remote policy will allow you to work from home or the office, with no minimum office days required.
Responsibilities
• Establish working relationships with a global team of internal and external business partners to design quality assets.
• Blend stakeholder vision and expectations with industry best practices to deliver impactful learning experiences.
• Perform needs analysis to recommend, design, and implement training that addresses gaps.
• Apply instructional design expertise while adhering to a learning content strategy to design, create, and publish learning solutions/job aides.
• Demonstrate mastery of multimedia design software (Adobe Creative Cloud) including image, video, audio, and presentation design.
• Use multiple learning content development tools including Evolve Authoring, Seismic Learning, Articulate Storyline 360 / Rise, Adobe Captivate.
• Create work with an engaging visual flair, including graphics, visuals, animation, and digital imagery.
• Develop strategies for increasing interactivity in remote learning sessions to improve learner experience in virtual events.
• Write/edit/proofread text to deliver production-quality written materials for our global audience.
• Manage learning development projects within required timeline(s).
• Ensure all content and learning experiences meet quality standards.
• Use the data dashboard to evaluate the impact of training and communicate effectiveness to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Instructional/Content Designer or similar role.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience designing training programs and workshops.
• Lead projects from inception and consult through completion.
• Design a project from inception and consultation through to completion.
• Break down concepts to explain them to different audiences.
• Use data/insights to influence future learning strategy and experiences.
• Stay flexible during growth and change.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent graphic design software.
• LUMA certification or experience with design thinking methodology.
• Knowledge of publishing SCORM 1. 2 and xAPI packages to a Learning Management System (LMS).
• Experience managing projects with external vendors.
