Responder al anuncioInsurance and Claims ManagerLocations: Madrid, SpainTime Type: Full timePosted on: Posted 7 Days AgoJob Requisition ID: R-014262Main Purpose:In this new role, The Insurance and Claims Manager will act as the main point of contact for all questions related to Group Insurance, support the yearly renewal of the various Group insurances including local data collection, follow up on outstanding claims, and continuously improve insurance processes. To ensure that Impala Terminals Group companies have the appropriate insurance for operations and projects according to current legislation and regulations, as well as providing information for contract negotiations, coverage, and claims management. Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:At least 7 years of experience in insurance in a multinational or insurance company with 3 years of increased management responsibility. Required experience in marine cargo insurance, general liability insurance, property insurance, claims handling among others. Ability to deliver proposals and contribute to strategic discussions at the senior management level. Commercial, corporate, broker, or underwriter insurance experience. Structured and organized, attention to detail, and meticulous focus with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Alignment and strategic vision. Customer oriented, at ease in a multi-cultural matrix environment. Ability to perform under pressure and manage time effectively. Availability to travel. Must have fluent English and Spanish. Other languages are an asset. Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Central point of contact for all types of insurances, including but not limited to cargo and stocks, property, liability/maritime liability, maritime hull, crime and non-payment insurance, and political risk. Reviewing exposures arising from business activities to ensure they are adequately insured under Group programs. Conducting study activities, such as risk assessment on current company affairs, presenting respective conclusions and/or action plans. Developing and controlling the budget for the business's own policies and the insurance area. Promptly responding to the company's coverage inquiries. Supporting the business in insurance declarations for marine cargo. Supporting the business in concluding new business opportunities by developing insurance solutions. Liaising with the parent companies’ global insurance broker to support regional companies with their local insurance required by law and by contract. Supporting the business in organizing construction insurance for projects, including monitoring project progress to organize coverage extensions or address emerging challenges. Backing the business in mergers, acquisitions, and divestments and modifying existing Group insurance programs to address the evolving business risk profile. Reviewing contract terms to establish if deviations from standard contract models can be accepted, or negotiate modifications to clauses to manage Group risk. Reviewing counterparty insurances to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Submitting claims to brokers/insurers and managing the claim to conclusion. Managing third-party recoveries in relation to subrogation or recovery of uninsured losses. Providing training to the company on insurance issues and assisting with loss prevention. Seeking opportunities to optimize business processes and improve insurance programs. Reporting management information.
