The R&D Department in our HIPRA CAMPUS (Aiguaviva, Girona) is seeking a talented and motivated R&D Scientist to join our multidisciplinary team and manage a cell culture unit to perform hands-on cell line development activities for biopharmaceutical use. Requirements:Ph. D and minimum 2 years of experience or Master Degree with minimum 5 years of experience, ideally in the industrial sector. Proficient in aseptic techniques, mammalian cell culture, and molecular biology techniques. Experience in the development of stable cell lines. Ability to independently design and execute complex experimental protocols and interpret data to solve scientific questions and optimize procedures. Experience in vector optimization, cell engineering, and bioprocess development is preferred. Experience in immunoassays, molecular biology techniques, and physicochemical analytical methods for cell line and protein characterization. Experience in lab automation setups and GLP environments, keeping detailed and traceable records on a daily basis. Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary group and with external partners. Good communication skills. Ability to perform verbal and written scientific data presentation. Proficient written and spoken English level. Responsibilities:Transfection, selection, subcloning, clone screening, cell banking, and stability assessment. Cultivate mammalian cells in multiple formats. Design DNA constructs for protein expression. Author and review cell line development technical reports that meet CMC requirements and expectations of regulatory agencies dossier filing. Collaborate with other teams including Discovery, Cell culture, Process development, Analytical and Formulation development, as well as CRO/CMO outsourcing. Manage multiple projects in parallel within timelines, ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are carried out according to high scientific standards. Participate in the setup of new laboratory facilities, recommend the implementation of new technologies, manage the incorporation of new dedicated equipment, develop and write SOPs for routine use and maintenance, and take charge of periodic qualifications/validations.
