CATF is highly respected for its deep expertise and research on energy and industrial systems and potential strategies, technologies, and policies that can radically shrink their impact on the planet’s atmosphere. Our team of experts and advocates (and global network of subject matter experts and civil society partners) put this research and knowledge into action by designing and enacting public policies that drive toward zero emissions. We also support policies and work directly with private industry to innovate in technology to make the path to zero emissions swift and affordable. CATF has offices in Boston, Washington D. C. , and Brussels, with staff working virtually around the world. ROLEThe Program Coordinator for Nuclear and Fusion Energy will support CATF’s strategic initiatives to advance nuclear and fusion energy as vital components of our low-carbon energy strategy. This role involves project coordination and programmatic contributions to both the Advanced Nuclear Energy and Fusion Energy teams, focusing on planning, organizing, and executing activities to achieve project milestones efficiently. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and have a keen interest in advanced nuclear energy and fusion energy technologies. They will work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, demonstrating flexibility, proactivity, and a commitment to CATF’s values of curiosity, collaboration, and persistence. Key Functions and Responsibilities:Project Coordination Assist in planning, organizing, and executing project activities to ensure timely delivery of project milestones Maintain detailed project schedules, track progress, and update relevant stakeholders on project status Coordinate meetings, workshops, and events, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items Ensure proper documentation and filing of project materials, including reports, presentations, and correspondence Track invoices and expenditures in liaison with the finance team to ensure accurate financial records Programmatic Coordination Support the Advanced Nuclear Energy and Fusion Energy teams in advancing nuclear energy as a key component of CATF’s low-carbon energy strategy Assist in developing advocacy materials, including policy briefs, fact sheets, and presentations, tailored to stakeholders and policymakers Conduct research on nuclear energy technologies, regulatory frameworks, and market trends to inform team strategies Help manage relationships with external partners, including government agencies, industry stakeholders, and advocacy groups Monitor and report on policy developments, industry news, and emerging technologies related to nuclear energy Skills/Qualifications: Recent graduate with a degree in environmental science, engineering, public policy, or a related field Strong interest in climate change mitigation and low-carbon energy technologies, particularly nuclear and fusion energy Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude Strong analytical and research skills, with attention to detail and accuracy High proficiency in English; a second language is a plus Fusion or fission knowledge is a plus Passion for CATF's mission Compensation and Location: This is a remote, full-time position flexible within Europe.
