About The Role: As an Engineering Manager L5, you will be the best coach for the people on the team. You will own the individual growth of everyone in the team, as well as the growth of the team itself. This includes among others:
Main challenges:
- Design your team with headcount planning and hiring.
- Use radical candor feedback creating a continuous feedback culture.
- Grow your team, helping them in scaling their technical and soft skills through mentoring, coaching, and career planning.
- Empower engineers, letting the team own the delivery of value. Being a helpful hand by unblocking, giving feedback and advice to let them achieve their goals.
- Help product managers alongside the technical lead in the definition of the roadmap.
- Be passionate about recruitment and work on building your team, interviewing and hiring for different positions.
- Work to minimize and manage dependencies between teams.
- Produce and manage metrics into the team to identify how we can improve to reach the peaks.
- Decision making. You will need to make decisions in uncertain situations, although you will use data to reduce it; still, you will need to be decisive.
Our daily stack is:
- Technical stack: TypeScript, React, Jest, React Native, Auth0, etc.
- We run our services on AWS in a multi-cluster environment.
