We are looking for aTransaction Monitoring Analystto be based in our headquarters in Barcelona. Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview and remediate transaction monitoring alerts. Analyse user documentation to verify consistency with their transactional behaviour. Manage chargebacks and other payment disputes, gathering supporting evidence and processing written correspondence to recover funds for PayRetailers’ Merchants. Monitor fraud rates and take necessary actions to keep them within acceptable thresholds. Proactively suggest system improvements to prevent fraudulent transactions and optimize existing fraud management processes. Analyze fraud patterns and develop new fraud detection rules. Provide support and advice to other internal departments on fraud related matters. Conduct fraud investigations upon Merchant request. Support junior analysts with the creation of SQL queries. Create fraud data reports ad-hoc. Experience and Qualifications2 years experience in the financial service industry (having knowledge of payment systems and AML procedures is an asset). Proficiency in English and Spanish are a must (at least B2 level). Proficient with SQL and experience exploring databases. Advanced level of Excel. Experience working with BI tools like Power BI. Good understanding of fraud metrics and patterns. Strong written communication skills, utilizing proper grammar and punctuation. Experience and agility in data analysis. Familiarity with customer support systems and practices. Proactivity and attention to detail. Ability to analyze information, think through difficult problems, and make critical decisions based on limited information. Proficiency in Portuguese is a plus. What We OfferCompetitive salary.
