Senior Accountant
Responder al anuncioThe primary function of the Senior Accountant is to perform accounting & finance activities for their assigned territories. (South Africa and Israel) You will be responsible for preparing and supporting the monthly/quarterly/YE closing process for these Gartner Subsidiaries. This includes preparing and supporting Statutory Financials as well as assisting in the Audit process. Additionally, you will help the Finance Manager to develop and manage compliance and controls within respective country local and global corporate requirements.
What you’ll do
-
Prepare monthly / quarterly/year-end closing
-
Perform accounting activities and ensure accuracy and compliance
-
Manage GL accounting, execute and record transactions and maintain necessary supporting documentation

Prepare monthly account reconciliations to the general ledger
-
Prepare and control Intercompany Transactions
-
Prepare and File VAT declarations and other statutory reports
-
Prepare Annual Financial Statements for review by auditors
-
Assist Tax Team by preparing Annual Tax information for review

Assist with the preparation of the Statutory Financials audit process

Assist with any other Audit as required

Assist with establishing internal controls and monitoring compliance with Global Policies

Execute and support special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
What you’ll need
-
3-5 years of experience within an accounting function of a global multinational organization
-
Strong understanding of Local Accounting Standards (e. g. South Africa and Israel IFRS SME), good understanding of US GAAP, and knowledge of Local VAT and Indirect Tax Rules

Good working knowledge of intermediate to Advanced Excel
-
Good hands-on reporting-systems knowledge. Oracle Financials and Hyperion experience would be considered as a plus

Good hands-on reporting-systems knowledge. (Oracle Financials and Hyperion experience is preferred. )

Excellent working knowledge of Excel

Good working knowledge of English, knowledge of Hebrew nice to have

Strong ability to collect information from many varied sources and ensure its accuracy

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong initiative and willingness to take on projects in a proactive manner

Ability to manage constantly shifting priorities, requirements and meeting deadlines.

Excellent verbal & written communication skills and effective listening skills
