Senior Frontend Engineer at a World-Class Gaming CompanyAs a Frontend Software Engineer, you will join a team focused on ensuring that our gaming products are highly resilient, have extremely low latency, and are scalable to massive volumes while providing a top-class customer experience. With a deep understanding of modern architectural and engineering practices that underpin successful distributed transactional solutions, your team will work hand in hand with product leaders to design, build, deliver, and execute our gaming platforms and products. What you will do:Develop and maintain user interface components: Use your expertise in JavaScript frameworks like React and TypeScript to create and manage user interface components that align with project requirements. What is essential for the role:Proven experience integrating web applications: Demonstrate your proficiency in seamlessly integrating web applications using RESTful APIs, showcasing your ability to build strong connections between frontend and backend systems. Proven experience building high-performance, responsive web applications: Highlight your track record in developing high-performance web applications with optimal user experience across various devices and screen sizes. Proven experience using CSS: Show your skills in using CSS to style web pages, emphasizing your ability to create visually appealing and easy-to-use interfaces. Proven experience with JavaScript unit testing: Experience in implementing and maintaining effective unit tests using tools like Jest to ensure code reliability. Strong architectural knowledge and experience with patterns: Illustrate your senior-level competence by demonstrating deep knowledge and experience with architectural patterns such as SSG, SSR, Islands, and Streaming SSR. Proven experience using a CMS: Work with dynamic content provided by a CMS, such as Strapi or Umbraco. Experience in web application hosting: Experience hosting web applications using platforms like Cloudflare or Vercel, demonstrating a holistic understanding of the deployment process. Familiarity with package managers: Experience with package managers like PNPM and Yarn to facilitate efficient package management within the development workflow. Experience with application performance monitoring (APM): Show the value of experience with APM tools like Kibana and Elastic to monitor and optimize application performance. Start date: As soon as possibleHours: 160 hours/month for 12 monthsLanguages: English (professional fluency)Work mode: Hybrid - 2 days a week in the Madrid office (Monday-Thursday if possible).
