Security Engineer is a part of Glia’s compliance and security team. The team is responsible for the three pillars of security – confidentiality, integrity and availability. Security is not just a feature, it’s an integral part of our service. ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of the platform and applications’ security, help development teams ensure compliance with industry standards and regulationsHelp conduct regular security assessments, penetration tests, and audits of our platform and applicationsGuide and help with the implementation of robust security measures for data protectionCollaborate with product and development teams to integrate security practices into the development lifecycleIndependently identify and coordinate the resolution of security vulnerabilitiesCoordinate evidence/data gathering and documentation from various tools and collection methodsHelp run the public bounty hunter programTrain other team members about the application and platform securityEvaluate, implement and manage security technologies. RequirementsStrong experience in platform security, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps tooling (such as Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, WAF, SIEM, IDS/IPS, PostgreSQL, Snyk, Sysdig)Familiarity with application security, dependency managementGood understanding of network protocols and types of network-based attacksFamiliarity with scripting languages such as PythonUnderstanding of security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA, OWASP ASVSExperience with handling cyber security incidentsWhat will make you successfulProficiency in the AWS environment and its security aspectsFamiliarity with common security protocols, encryption techniques and authentication mechanismsExperience with SAST, DAST, SC, SBOMPrevious experience working with Information Security auditsFamiliarity with NodeJS/Ruby/ElixirAccess to all the latest tools and equipment you’ll needSports compensation, reimbursement for therapy, counseling sessionsTeam events:annual employee awards, internal hackathons, and a dozen cool events from cooking to the Glia olympic games :)Diversity: 25 countries represented*Glia is an equal-opportunity employer.
