The opportunity: We are looking for a talented and experiencedUX Researcherto join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for understanding and advocating for our users, ensuring that their needs and experiences are central to our product development. The UX Researcher will be responsible for planning, conducting, analyzing, and reporting on user-centered research. Additionally, they will collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate research findings into the design and development process. The role also extends to projects involving Generative AI, where the researcher will explore and understand how users interact with AI-driven products. It's essential that the AI models and interfaces developed are intuitive, ethical, and meet user needs, with the researcher working closely with our AI development team to provide insights that shape the development of user-friendly, human-centered AI solutions. The Generative AI team we're building will serve as the central hub that collaborates with existing packs in delivering GenAI-enabled solutions in their respective scopes. This team will also identify and lead new GenAI-enabled initiatives and build the backend architecture for serving GenAI models to all teams at scale with controlled cost. This role is part of our "Platform" organization, where our mission is to build systems, tools, and capabilities that empower all our product teams to deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers. What you will be doing:Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research, including usability studies, interviews, surveys, field studies, and competitive analyses. Analyze research data to provide actionable insights and recommendations. Use various methods to visualize data, such as personas, journey maps, and affinity diagrams. Work closely with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, developers) to integrate user research findings into product designs and roadmaps. Communicate research findings and insights to stakeholders through written reports, presentations, and workshops. Advocate for the user’s perspective in the product development process and ensure that user experience is a primary consideration in design decisions. Utilize a variety of research and prototyping tools, including but not limited to Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, and various UX research tools. Conduct research on user interactions with AI-driven features and products. Test prototypes for AI-based interfaces to ensure usability and accessibility. Work with the AI team to ensure that AI models are developed with user experience in mind. Identify potential ethical issues and biases in AI interactions and suggest solutions to mitigate them. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, research methodologies, and best practices to continually refine and improve the UX research process. Who we’re looking for:Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX research or a related field. Experience with AI-driven products is a plus. Strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Proficiency in data analysis and user research tools (ie. Maze)Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to translate research findings into actionable insights. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with user-centered design principles and practices. Understanding of AI technologies and their implications for UX design.
