The Structured Finance Middle Office division plays a key role in the success of SG CIB’s activities. Our teams work closely with major market players (international clients, banks, clearing houses, regulators). They ensure the quality and reliability of the operations that the bank executes on behalf of clients around the world, in compliance with international regulations and the highest ethical standards.
MISSION: As a Structured Finance Middle Officer, your main responsibilities will be the Transaction Risk Monitoring for the main GLFI business lines located in SGCIB Madrid and Frankfurt.
Tasks and responsibilities: You will be involved in particular in:
- Leverage Finance and Real Estate: Control, supervision and monitoring of deals for risk matters (at closing and post-closing), proactive risk monitoring of transactions (reviews, covenants monitoring, collaterals monitoring, key risks indicators), proactive management of risk events (waivers, amendments, defaults), timely warning & advice to BL, GLFI /DIR and RISQ (covenant breach, watch-list, provisions).
- Agency Management Role on deals in Madrid and Frankfurt: Proactive Agency Advisory function dedicated by BL to be the go-between client and syndicate at all stages of the deal, pre-closing: documentation check, agency role feasibility, meeting with other in-house teams to ensure closing and future needs, verification of local legislation regulations (Bank of Spain), Know your customer fulfillment.
- Closing: Condition Precedent supervision confirmation from Legal advisors, documentation coordination, coordination with GTPS team and Madrid/Frankfurt CLO team to ensure the correct closing, post-closing: drawdown and milestones CP’s, risk events management (waivers, default), overall transaction risks monitoring (covenants, collaterals).
- Facilitator role within the Bank to address clients’ needs for additional services.
- Pool coordination.
- Transversal Roles.
Profile required:
Studies & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from a top tier University.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in Risk Management with good knowledge of Real Estate, leveraged finance, or project finance, in the CIB Scope.
Language skills:
- Spanish: native speaker.
- English: advanced level.
- German: advanced level.
- French: would be a plus.
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive and positive attitude.
- Ability to adapt to a complex and competitive environment.
- Demonstrated work ethic.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in teams.
