Summary - Basic Function Of The RoleThe Workshop Technician is responsible for supporting the Workshop Chargehand in the repair, servicing, and calibration of both company-owned and customer equipment. This includes assisting with equipment repairs and refurbishment to ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesEnsure all HSSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the Organization. Proactively participate in safety awareness and improvement. Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally. Follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures. Be an ambassador for the businesses in particular ensure that Health Safety comes first at all times. Service, repair, test, and calibration of all equipment. Painting, use of abrasive equipment and machines. Handling and assembling of new equipment. Fault finding and determining proper solutions. Provide service and customer support where needed. Facility maintenance, ensuring the facility area is always kept tidy and safe. Participate in process improvement activities and use appropriate tools - LEAN events, value stream maps, 6S etc. Reporting safety observations, both negative and positive, via OSHENS. Packing, unpacking, and preparation material, warehouse activities. Education And ExperienceEducation Requirements:Qualified to BTEC or equivalent. Good basic educational background, with English and Maths GCSE’s or equivalent as a minimum. Experience Requirements:Experience in a similar role. Flexibility to work outside your specific tasks. Must be able to provide cover for other team members as and when required. Must be flexible to work overtime when required.
